In today’s climate, many people search for information regarding a variety of social issues, one of which is protecting and preserving our environment. The environmental issue I chose to focus on was the effects of plastic pollution and the ways in which people can prevent it from causing further damage to the earth.
The ultimate goal of this project was to create a responsive website focusing on plastic pollution and how people can help this cause. This site’s main functions are to make people more aware of how much plastic they consume everyday, suggest small changes people can make to reduce their impact, and offer suggestions for more eco-friendly reusable alternatives. These topics are organized into sections within the site, making the information easier to read and comprehend.
The overall design of this site is minimalist which allows for the reader to focus on the important information it contains. Brighter pops of color add interest to the site while also denoting the different sections of information. The home page lets users select which section of information to jump to, or the user can follow the simple navigation at the bottom of each page.
